MISSION STATEMENT
VTC presents new and unheralded plays and playwrights from around the world. We create opportunities for collaboration between theater-makers of diverse cultures and disciplines to engage and challenge new audiences.
My Poor Marat is a love story set during the Siege of Leningrad where three young people lose their innocence to the horrors of war. Besieged by the Nazis, the city was without heat, food, and water while temperatures plummeted. Hundreds of thousands died. Surviving the death and destruction, the characters reunite to confront the reality of their lives and life under Stalin.
