Michael Ngo
President and Executive Producer
Michael Ngo is the Founding President of Voyage Theater Company and has served as producer for all of VTC’s productions including My Poor Marat by Aleksei Arbuzov (Canal Park Playhouse); Obama 44 by Mario Fratti (La MaMa ETC); Sun by Adrienne Kennedy (Tree House Theater); Intermission by Daniel Libman (Harold Clurman Theater); Unveiled by Rohina Malik (NYC & South African Tour); The Mecca Tales by Rohina Malik (Sheen Center); and The Hope Hypothesis by Cat Miller (Sheen Center). Michael was instrumental in securing the 53rd Street New York Public Library as the venue for VTC’s Parts Unknown Play Reading Series, and has produced six seasons of readings there. Michael also produced the world premiere of Text#Love Love#Text written and directed by Jen Emma Hertel at the C.O.W. Theater on the Lower East Side.
Michael emigrated with his family from Vietnam to the United States in 1972. His experience as an immigrant has greatly influenced Voyage Theater Company’s mission and artistic direction. Michael is passionate in his support for other immigrant and first-generation artists, and hopes to encourage them in sharing their own journeys.
